Born in La Barca Jalisco, Mexico, she was the daughter of Celsa Paredes and Jose Hernandez. She worked at A-1 Kotzin Co. as a seamstress for 20 years.
Esperanza was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, and enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing, and reading.
Esperanza will be remembered for her wonderful cooking, the recipes she shared, dancing (she liked to lead!), selling at the flea market, singing, listening to music, and sharing traditions with her family.
Esperanza is survived by her children Ramon (Lupe) Chavez, Maria Chavez, Henry (Lupe) Chavez, Jenny (Arnold) Gallegos, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ramon V. Chavez, her son, Peter H. Chavez, and her parents Celsa Paredes and Jose Hernandez.
The family will gather to pray the rosary for Esperanza on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 5pm at Imperial Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 10am at Holy Family Catholic Church. Esperanza will be laid to rest at Imperial Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with a reception to follow at Holy Family Parish Hall.
