

Evelyn was born on April 7, 1934, in Gordon, Colorado, to humble beginnings. Her life was defined by faith, family, and extraordinary devotion. On November 21, 1953, she married the love of her life, August Amidei, beginning a beautiful partnership that would last sixty-one years until his passing.
A steadfast and devoted servant of the Lord, Evelyn was an incredibly active member of Holy Family Catholic Church for over 60 years. Her faith was the foundation of her life and a beautiful legacy she passed down to her family.
Evelyn was the heart and anchor of her family, known for her extraordinary generosity and skill in the kitchen. She frequently hosted joyful family gatherings where her homemade ravioli and tortellini were always the star of the table, creating cherished memories for everyone. She possessed a warmth and grace that made all who knew her feel loved and welcome.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her devoted husband, August Amidei; her beloved daughter, Renea Amidei; and her brother and sister-in-law, Leno and Lorraine Nogare.
She is survived by her loving children, Suzette (Bryan) Allen, Michael Amidei (Colette Skowron) and Mariette (Ed Romero). She leaves behind a cherished legacy in her grandchildren: Heather (Mark) Valdez, Lisa (Roger) Duncan, John (Melissa) Allen, Joshua (Vicki) Amidei, Kevin Allen (Sydney King), Lauren (Dustin) Hoover, Riley (Lucas) Braswell, Geno (Amryn) Long and Cara Amidei.
Evelyn was also the proud great-grandmother to Vincent, Isabella, an Oliver Allen. Theodor and Ronan Hoover. Geno Long, Jr.
Dylan, Hannah, Hunter, and Mason Braswell, as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.
A rosary for Evelyn will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Parish at 6:00pm. A funeral mass for Evelyn will take place on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 10:00am at Holy Family Catholic Parish.
