Felipa “Phyllis” Casaus went home to be with her Lord on December 30th, 2022 where she was met by her husband, Patricio “Pat” E. Casaus; her sons: George Casaus and Steven Casaus; grandchildren: Janelle Garcia and Patrick Rael-Casaus; brothers: Simon Saiz and John “Larry” Saiz; parents: Geraldo and Pola Saiz; in-laws: Pat and Lela Casaus; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Phyllis was a devout Catholic throughout her life and a member of Holy Family Parish for the past 58 years. Phyllis married the love of her life January 11,1958. She was a mother and homemaker who loved spending time with her family and would do anything she could for them. Phyllis devoted much of her time participating and serving her church community. She was involved in Bible study, church choir (English and Spanish),and a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society. She served the church as a Lector (English and Spanish) and an Eucharistic Minister. Phyllis also volunteered many hours with her children and grandchildren at school, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Catechism, and various other church events.
Phyllis is survived by her children: Gerald Casaus, Alice Moore, Anita (Alvin) Walters, Nancy (Jess) Garcia, Robert Casaus, James (Amber) Casaus, Edwen (Rachel) Casaus; siblings, Socorro Sanchez, Juan (Arlene) Saiz, Amada (Amodeo) Madrid, Pablo (Francis) Saiz, Margaret Bustamonte; sister-in-law, Rosemary Saiz; twenty-six grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and numerous God children, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Phyllis’ honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
