

Frank E. “Pops” Vigil, 81, born to the union of Francisco and Ascencion Vigil on April 28, 1931 in Madrid, CO and went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2013 in Pueblo. Preceded in death by his wife, Rose; parents; siblings, Ermelinda Lujan, Esther Lujan and Max Vigil. Survived by children, Mechle (Michael) Trujillo, Regina MacFarlane, Francine Vigil and Tracy (Tom Lontine) Romero; sisters, Vera Haveman and Delia Dorrance; grandchildren, Stephan (Angelica Lucero) Vigil, Shane (Jamie) Hyndman, Russell (Asheley Padilla) Alarid, Dustin Alarid, Michael (Lacie Waldschmidt) Romero, Frankee (Jon Garcia) Vidana and Brooklynn Romero; great-grandchildren, Ascension Vigil, Blake Hyndman and special God-son, Rick Shannon. Also survived by numerous relatives and friends. Frank served in the US Navy and later retired from the CF&I Steel Mill. He was passionate about gardening, fishing, hunting, camping and spending time at the ranch. Most important to him however was spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed. Viewing 2-3 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2013 at Imperial Funeral Home followed by a Rosary Service 6 p.m., at Holy Family Church. Funeral Mass 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Holy Family Church.
