Gail Marie Wall, 73, was born to Thomas and Nina Wall on July 7, 1941; and went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2014. She is survived by her life-long friend, Helen O’Connor; her sister, Noel (Edward) Sanders; nieces, Jill and Holly; and nephew, Jay Sanders. Gail also leaves behind her Bearded Collies, Blaze and Primrose. Gail was an outstanding teacher for over 40 years. She worked with Special Needs children and adults, and spent the last half of her career with middle school students teaching mathematics. Her students would often let her know that she made mathematics fun for them. In addition to her teaching career, Gail loved working with her dogs. She trained and competed in agility and nose work. Gail and the dogs earned numerous agility titles. Gail also saw the importance of animals in her life and shared her love of dogs through the therapy dog program. She would make weekly visits to the local veteran’s care center with her therapy dog, Wyatt. The “guys” would wait for these visits; so Gail rarely missed. Gail loved working outdoors in her garden and flower beds. Gail will be missed very much by her family and friends and will be remembered by her “infectious smile.” In lieu of flowers or food, Helen and the family request that donations be made to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice, Pueblo, Colorado in Gail’s honor. A time of sharing will be Monday, Oct. 20, from 4-7 pm at TG McCarthy Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. On line condolences can be offered at www.tgmccarthy.com
