

Gary Richard Tensley, passed away on March 30th, 2022. He was born on November 2nd,1944, in Susanville, CA at Potter’s Maternity House, to Ruth Elsie Tensley and Richard Alvin Tensley. He married his one and only Love, Oralea in 1967, who passed in July of 2006.
He graduated from Central High School in 1963, joining the Navy in 1964, completing two tours. He traveled and experienced many things from his time in the service. His wife and he were blessed to have been to Hong Kong, Boston, Hawaii, and many other Naval bases, as he worked as a Sonar Technician. In 1974 after retiring from the Navy, Gary settled back in Pueblo to raise his family. He worked at the Chemical Depot as a metallurgist then moved up to security and finally settled as a Firefighter, retiring in 1999.
Gary is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Oralea, brother, Patrick Tensley (wife Katherine Thompson).
He leaves behind his son, Patrick Shawn Tensley, his daughter, Ruthann Teem, granddaughter, Cheyenne Teem, his great grandson Alexander Summers, his sister Sharon (Ken) Goodrich, his sister in law, Katherine Thompson, as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered as someone who proudly served his country, his community and most of all for the love he had for his family.
The family would like to give special thanks to Aunt Debbie, Uncle Bob, Bridgette, Beth and Barry for the love and support given during this difficult time.
A memorial service for Gary will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Imperial Memorial Funeral Home, 5450 Highway 78 West, Pueblo, Colorado 81005.
