

Grace N. Mauro, 101, passed away June 26, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis “Pep”, 1963; son, John Louis, 1985; son-in-law, Steve Casey, 2008. Grace was born in La Junta, CO, May 24, 1915. At the age of 18 months she traveled 24 days to Blanchard, OK, in a covered wagon. She is survived by her children, Geri Casey, Larry (Linda) Mauro, Carol (George) Norton, Ronnie (Jennifer) Mauro; 12 grandchildren, John Mauro Jr., Tom Ganatta, Judy Diaz, Ken Norton, Darlene Mauro, Richard Mauro, Kathy Danielson, Gary Mauro, Lanna Mauro, John Fenderbosch, Toni Perry and Nicole Cooper; 23 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Grace belonged to the St. Therese Altar and Rosary Society of Vineland, CO, and was a Daughter of the American Revolution. She was also an avid Bronco fan, and known for her famous “Potica”. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home. Rosary and Funeral Mass will begin at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2016, St. Joseph Catholic Church.
