"Lupe" is survived by her husband, John Schoby; son Mike Medina; daughter-in-law Karen Medina; son Fred Medina; son George Medina; son Wes Schoby; and daughter-in-law Terri Schoby; brother Larry Stines; special friends Patti Watkins Margaret Miller and other family members Leonard, Josephine, and Johnny Oliva'. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
"Lupe" was preceded in death by; son Jerry Salazar; father Fred Stines; mother Mary Stines and stepfather Butch Stewart; brother Willy Stines; sister Nole Stines, Vincnta Esquibel and first husband, George Medina.
Lupe enjoyed many hobbies such as cooking (fish fry's and chicken tacos on white), shopping and spending time with family. She loved watching and cheering on the Denver Bronco's and Colorado Rockies. She also enjoyed the Powwows and the El Sentorio de Chimayo. Her favorite color was dark purple and lavender. Spanish and old country music is what she enjoyed listening to and her favorite flowers were carnations.
A viewing for "Lupe" will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 5:00 PM at St. Francis Xavier Church, 611 Logan Ave, Pueblo, Colorado 81004. A rosary will occur Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 7:00 PM at St. Francis Xavier Church . A funeral mass will occur Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 10:00 AM, St. Francis Xavier Church, a graveside service will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens, 5450 Hwy 78, Pueblo, Colorado 81005. A reception will follow graveside at Local 2102, 1414 E. Evans, Pueblo, Colorado 81004.
Serving as pallbearers are Henry Stines, Vince Stines, Ed Esquibel, Leon Medina, Jonathan Medina , Wes Schoby, George Medina, Mike Medina and Tino Medina. Gift record by Lily Harmes, Quinton Medina and Marcus Medina Readings by Nicki Martin and Geradine Vigil.
