

Hospice House (Sangre De Cristo Hospice) in Pueblo, CO. Helen is preceded in death by three husbands. First marriage was in Sept. of 1951, to Edward Even (deceased 1958). Second marriage was in March of 1961, to Lyle Hedlund (deceased 1989). Final marriage was in July of 1995, to Herbert C. Even (deceased 2017). Also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Donna (Kerr) Abel of Pueblo, CO.
Louise was born in Pueblo, CO. She resided in her beloved Beulah Valley, CO her entire life. She was the eldest daughter of Roscoe C. Kerr and Helen E. (Klipfel) Kerr-Ahlers. Her elementary school
years began in a one room school house in Beulah with 3 students. In Helen's youth she clerked at
Reynold’s Pine Drive Store in Beulah.
Louise graduated from Central High School, in Pueblo, on June 8, 1950. After graduation she
worked at Rocky Mtn. Bank Note Company for several years, but her most beloved employment
was as secretary at Beulah School, retiring after 27 years.
Louise was a life-long member of Beulah United Methodist Church and the Beulah Historical
Society. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School, Bible School, heading the local SRDA food
distribution program, leading the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, and being an all-around great
mom. Her favorite pastime was crocheting.
Louise will be remembered for her quiet, steady, kindness and generous nature.
She is survived by children, Philip (Even) Hedlund (Colorado Springs, CO), Cindy (Even/Hedlund)
Sweeney (Colorado Springs, CO), and Greg Hedlund (Collinsville, OK); grandchildren, Travis Hedlund (Pueblo, CO), Anthony Jones (Pueblo, CO), Justin Hedlund (Owasso, OK), Jason Sweeney (Colorado Springs, CO), and Deana (Hedlund) Lowe, (spouse Robert Lowe) (Collinsville,
OK); great-grandchildren, Jada Martinez (Pueblo, CO), Bodie & Hutton Hedlund (Owasso, OK), and
Chloee Lowe (Collinsville, OK); other family members, Wanda (Kerr) Hahn (Phoenix, AZ) and
numerous nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 8, at 11:00 am at Beulah United Methodist
Church, Beulah, CO.
Memorial donations/in lieu of flowers, may be made to Beulah United Methodist Church or the
Beulah Historical Society in her name.
