Jack L. Wood, 81, passed away Oct. 25, 2010. Preceded in death by his mother, Verna Wood, and by his first wife, Deloris Wood. Survived by his wife, Dorothy L. Wood; children, Linda (Doug) Chandler, and Mike (Renee) Wood; step-children, Carrie (Bill) Masse, Jay (Suzanne) Wells, and Tod (Linda) Wells; grandchildren, Julie (Jim) Cain, Jenny Castellucci, Garrett (Kari) Chandler, and David (Kira) Wood. Also survived by six great-grandchildren and numerous other family members. Jack was a radarman in the US Army Air Corps during WWII, and also participated in the Berlin airlift. He was a self-employed sheet metal worker and was an accomplished metal sculpture artist. Jack enjoyed four-wheeling, hunting, fishing, do-wop music, and especially loved being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cremation, with a memorial service, 10 a.m. Friday, Imperial Funeral Home Chapel. Donations in Jack’s memory may be made to either Sangre de Cristo Hospice, or to the Humane Society, both through the funeral home office.
