James Everett Baker, 71, born February 17, 1946 in Talihina, Oklahoma passed away September 21, 2017. Predeceased by his son, Everett. Survived by his wife, Anna of 49 years; his son, Glenn; and grandson, James. Sisters, Joella Hicks and Louella Baker; Brothers Melvin and Marvin Womack; Father-in-law, Gilbert Sandoval; Goddaughter, Kristie (James) Cisneros; Sisters- in-law Mary (Charlie) Hanline and Susie Martinez; Favorite uncle, Thomas Martin; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jim graduated from Durant High School in 1965 and was a Vietnam Army Veteran. He was the “Number one mechanic in town.” He loves the Oklahoma Sooners, the Broncos, country music, and getting together with family. He was a Choctaw Indian and could fluently speak the language. He was very proud of his heritage. He will be dearly missed. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Imperial Memorial Gardens. Arrangements through Imperial Funeral Home.
