John Jake Krasovic, Jr., “Juna,” 93, was called home to be with our Lord on January 31, 2022 at the Hour of Great Mercy. Our family is greatly blessed to have had such a kind, gentle father and grandpa. Juna was admired and respected by everyone who knew him and would help anyone in need. His strength and dedication to family and life was profound. He honored and served his county in the US Army at Ft. Carson during the Korean War. He was proud to have worked at Midwest Steel & Iron Works, Co. for his whole career and loved his job as a layout man. Juna’s baseball and softball days were treasured experiences. He enjoyed reminiscing about his friendships and pitching in the 1965 World Fastpitch Softball Tournament in Chicago. He loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, gambling, scratching lottery tickets, and watching old westerns. Juna was a loyal New York Yankee fan his entire life. Survived by his two daughters, Janine Guillen (Tim DeGeorge), Ann Marie (Mike) Vanatta; three grandchildren, Erica Guillen, John Guillen and Jalen Vanatta; sister-in-law Norma Krasovic; and extended family members. Juna is reunited with his loving wife, Evelyn; his mother and father, John and Mary Krasovic; his brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Josephine Krasovic, and his brother, Anthony “Tona” Krasovic. Our dad and grandpa is deeply loved and will be missed in our hearts forever. 1:30 pm Rosary followed by 2:00 pm Mass on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 217 E.
