

John was a devoted member of the Roman Catholic Church where he was an active member of Holy Family Church. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Eagles. Throughout his life he volunteered and donated to numerous charities in the Pueblo community.
He retired from the CF&I Tube Mill after 28 years in 1983.
John lived a truly blessed life. He enjoyed many artistic endeavors from music, playing the saxophone in his youth, to painting. He loved traveling with his sisters, brothers and his wife Louise to Europe, Alaska, and around the U.S. He also spent time throughout his life camping, hunting and fishing with family and friends.
John is survived by his sons and their wives David (Mandy) Lobato, Arthur (Sherry) Lobato, John (Frances) Lobato III, Anthony Lobato, Thomas (Patty) Lobato, step-son Edward Kochman; brother Adolph (Velma) Lobato; sisters Noemi Garcia, Azucena (Fred) Velasquez, Margaret (Augustine) DeHerrera, Elizabeth (Alex) Romero, Aaronella (Eppie) Perea and close friend Rosella Jimenez; plus 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife of 28 years Stella Louise Lobato, his daughter Phyllis Marie Lobato, and three brothers Ignacio L. Lobato, Paul M. Lobato and Anastacio J. Lobato
The recitation of the Rosary will be Wednesday 8:00 PM with memorial Mass to Thursday 11:00 am both at Holy Family Parish. Inurnment, Imperial Memorial Gardens.
The family request donations to Meals on Wheels in the name of John Lobato in lieu of flowers. The family appreciates the considerations, care and thoughtfulness extended by the ICU staff at St. Mary Corwin Hospital, the 4th floor Oncology staff at St. Mary Corwin Hospital and Dr.
Laurence G. Jensen.
