John Rampa, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 6, 2021. He has finished his race. Preceded in death by Richard Rampa, Sr., Viola Rampa and Pauline Party. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Peggy Rampa and brother Richard Rampa, Jr., children Sandra Rampa-Longoria, Desiree Rampa (Dave), Crystal Granillo (Pete), Mike Garza and Gina Stuart. He was blessed with 28 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He had many special friends. He touched and changed so many lives through his grief counseling and marriage counseling. He was a kind, patient and generous man who had a sweet spirit. His faith and love for the Lord was incredible. He was a true man of God with a heart for the lost. His passion and love was teaching Sunday school. He was very educated with a Master’s Degree in Social Work/Counseling from Highlands University of New Mexico, achieved the CAPPS Capozzolo Award for Academic Excellence at the University of Colorado, was honored as the outstanding member of Phi Alpha National Honor Society and was in the Who’s Who Among Students In American Students and Colleges. He retired from the CF&I after 32 years and continued working with foster children and families for 8 more years. He looked forward to Thanksgiving dinner and getting together with family for Christmas. He was a Bronco fan, loved traveling, going to concerts and spending time with his wife and family. He will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will occur Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM, 2000 Troy Avenue, Pueblo, Colorado 81001. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Imperial Memorial Gardens, 5450 HWY 78 West, Pueblo, Colorado 81005.
