John E Welsby

He is survived by his devoted wife, Louise, and their children: Jason Welsby (Traci Spinuzzi) and Stephanie (Brian) Morsch. John was a proud and loving grandfather to Chelsi Spinuzzi (Kurt Long), Hadli Welsby, and Chance and Hayden Morsch.

He is also survived by his brother, George (Margaret) Welsby, and sister-in-law, Diane Clark, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

John earned a master’s degree in Economics and Public Administration and began his life of service with two years in the Peace Corps. He later built a meaningful career as a juvenile probation officer, dedicating his life to guiding and supporting young people with compassion and integrity.

An avid outdoorsman, John found great joy in fishing, hunting, and especially golfing. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, caring father, fun-loving grandfather, and loyal friend—known for his quiet strength, steady presence, and deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.

A public visitation for John will be held Monday, July 14, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Imperial Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. The family will host a lunch at the conclusion of services.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in John’s memory—a cause close to the family’s heart.
