

Joseph Najar, 83, born Oct. 28, 1938 in Berthoud, Colo., and went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 28, 2022. Jospeh was preceded in death by his parents, Casto and Jane Najar; sister, Leilani Aguero; and brothers, Robert Najar and William Najar. Survived by his wife of 22 years, Renate Najar; sons, Anthony (Donna) Najar, Andrew Najar; daughter, Elizabeth (Manny) Eder; grandchildren, Tabitha, Johan, Josef, Thomas, and great-grandchild, Maximilian; siblings Yolanda (Pete) Sanchez, Angelina Najar, Felipe (Mariestela Carabez) Najar; and brother-in-law, Alfred Aguero. Also survived by numerous nephews and nieces who loved him very much. Joseph served 26 years in the United States Army. He was stationed in Leighton Bks Wurzburg, Germany, and he served two terms in Vung Tau Vietnam. While in the military, Joseph received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, the Bronze Star Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Valorous Unit Award, Overseas Service Award and the Oakleaf Cluster Award. Joseph will be laid to rest at the Pikes Peak National Veterans Cemetery in Colorado Springs on Aug 22, 2022. His love and wisdom touched many and he will live on with the Lord forever in our hearts “until we meet on the other side.” Love you Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Friend, Uncle and Husband.
