Kathy was a proud graduate of the Indiana Academy Class of 1963. She dedicated her career to music, working as a piano teacher and concert pianist. Her love for music was a defining aspect of her life and touched many students and audiences.
In her personal life, Kathy enjoyed gardening, canning, reading, and playing the piano. She was known for her nurturing spirit and was a great mother, teaching her family the art of cooking and canning. She was an awesome grandmother (Nanny) to her grandchildren.
Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Daily; father, Carl Daily; mother-in-law, Lucille Bateman; father-in-law, Paul Bateman; brothers, Keith Decker and Terry Decker; and sister, Sharon Walker. She is survived by her husband, Delbert Bateman Sr.; daughter, Lori Palomarez (Ed Melgares); son, Delbert (Michelle) Bateman II; grandchildren, Wesley Bateman, John Palomarez, Ashley Palomarez, and their families.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Imperial Memorial Gardens. 5450 Highway 78 W. Pueblo, CO. 81005
