Laura Gail Collinsworth, 49, of Pueblo CO, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 21, 2023. She is preceded in death by her mother Julianne Williams, and her nephew Zachary T. Nelson. Laura is survived by her husband Michael Collinsworth and two children, Todd and Scott Collinsworth; her father, Gary Williams, sister Vicki Nelson, brother Glen Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews. Laura was born in Trinidad CO, on December 28, 1973. Laura enjoyed her years in the high school marching band where she played the clarinet. She also enjoyed going up to Potato Patch camping with her family. After high school, she went to Lubbock Christian University, Trinidad Junior College and then received her Bachelors of Science in Art at University of Southern Colorado. After graduating, she met her future husband Michael at church. She and Michael were married October 7th, 2000. In 2005, she gave birth to her first son Todd, fulfilling her lifelong dream of being a mother, then later having her second son Scott, in 2007. She spent the next eighteen years being the best mother in the world to her two sons. Laura’s many loves included scrapbooking, camping, and watching her sons in sports and debate. Laura was a dedicated and loving follower of Christ who never wavered in her faith. Viewing will be at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29th and services to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Southwest Church of Christ in Pueblo, CO. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance in Laura’s name.
A committal service will occur Friday, December 29, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Imperial Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5450 Highway 78 West, Pueblo, Colorado 81005.
Serving as pallbearers are Michael Collinsworth, Todd Collinsworth, Scott Collinsworth, Tyler Nelson, Glen Williams, David Collinsworth and Brian Collinsworth.
