Lee Martinez, 84, passed away September 22, 2013, at Parkview Hospital. He had retired after 32 years of steel work at CF&I. Lee was an avid bowler and had even recorded one 300 game. He was a sports fanatic who loved the Rockies and the Broncos. He served in the Army and was given an honorable discharge as a Corporal in 1952. Lee is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Charlie, John, Eddie, Alfred, and Andy; also by his special cousin Frank Casias. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nora; one sister Beatrice (Joe) Cordova; Sons Rudy (Donna) Martinez and Chuck Martinez; Three grandchildren, Rudy (Melanie), Andrea (Chris Romero), and Michael (Audie); Five great-grandchildren, Rudy, Jayda, Miquela, Lee, and Olivia; Numerous other relatives and friends that will miss him greatly. Viewing for the public will be Wednesday, September 25, from 1-4 pm at Imperial Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, Wednesday evening beginning at 5:45 pm. Services will be Thursday, September 26, at 9:45 am at St. Francis.
