Leopoldo Padilla

He was preceded in death by his parents, Onecimo and Rafaelita Padilla; his brother Rudy Padilla; niece, Sonia Soto; and brothers-in-law Tom Cassares and Scott Shaw; as well as his father-in-law, Abe Gonzales.

Leopoldo is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Theresa Padilla; his son, Paul; daughter, Krista; and granddaughter, Taylor. He is also survived by numerous family members and dear friends.

Leo leaves behind his beloved dogs, Peaches and Baba, who will miss him greatly.

He worked at CF&I/ EVRAZ for 44½ years before retiring. Leo also served as Financial Secretary for Local Union 2102. In his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, visiting flea markets, and spending time with his friends. Every Thursday, he could be found at the Union Hall, chatting with Georgina, Bobby Lee, and John.

Leo will be remembered for his dedication, his warmth, and the love he shared with those around him.

A visitation and rosary will be held on Friday July 11th, 2025 starting at 9:00 a.m. (rosary at 9:30), followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Meadows Catholic Church 23 Starling Dr. Pueblo, CO 81005. Interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 5450 hwy 78 West, Pueblo, CO 81005.

Pallbearers: Paul Padilla, Sergio Rodriguez, Adam Soto, Mike Rodriguez, Aaron Soto, and Josh Lee.
