Lester Cole, best known as “Les” or “Boss”, passed away on November 26, 2020 at the age of 90 after a brief illness. Born August 16, 1930 in Sylvia Kansas to Ralph and Agnes Cole. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, (Lula); 4 brothers; 1 step-brother; 3 sisters; and 2 grandchildren.
He is survived by 1 brother; his children, LuAnna (Bud) Falkenstein, Lee (Jay) Janney, Linda (Rich) Gardner; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, and 1 on the way.
He served in the Army and the reserves from 1951-1956. He received a bronze service star, a United Nations Service Medal, and a bronze star medal.
He worked at the CF&I until he retired. Then, he worked at Bob’s Bicycles for 5 years. He belonged to the Mesa Shooters shooting club and enjoyed shooting trap, camping, fishing, and working in his yard. We will all truly miss him.
