

Lloyd Joseph Urie, passed away at the age of 90, peacefully in his own home surrounded by family on September 16, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, Father Archie Charles Urie and Mother Minnie Mary Reitmeyer Urie; brother, Clarence Urie; sister Roseanna Fulton; brother-in-law, Don Fulton.
Lloyd left behind to cherish his memories, sons, Robert (Boniva), Wayne (Vicki), Daniel, Ward, Wade (Gerry), and James (Shirley); brother, Everett (Jeannie) Urie. Lloyd also has numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends who will all miss him dearly.
Lloyd was raised on a family farm, north of Siebert, CO. He graduated high school at St. Joseph's Military Academy in Hayes, Kansas. After graduation, Lloyd attended Pueblo Community College where he studied Machining, Mechanics, and Welding. Lloyd lived with family members and drove home to Seibert on the weekends while going to school. Lloyd started his career at Midwest Steel in Pueblo, where he was a successful steel fabricator and later helped manage the company along with his very special friend and business partner Pat McConnell. Lloyd retired from Midwest Steel in 2001.
Throughout his life, Lloyd spent time with his children hunting, camping, fishing, and working on many projects at the family home. After retirement, Lloyd lived a busy life and always had many hobbies to keep him busy. His hobbies included car shows, with his vintage car, astronomy, watching football, gardening, Lloyd loved giving vegetables to friends and family, aviation, air shows, RC airplanes, side by side four wheeling, hunting, fishing, boating, bird watching, cooking, hosting gatherings at his home, Lloyd traveled to Yuma, AZ each year for the Winter. In his last days, Lloyd went on a trip to Yuma, AZ and Los Algodones (Lowe's-al-go-doe-knees) Mexico, traveling with his brother, Everett Urie and grandson Matt Denzler. It became a very eventful trip for all three of them to say the least. It was an essential and very special trip for Lloyd. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
A viewing will be held at Imperial Funeral Home, located at 5450 Highway 78 West, Pueblo, CO 81005, on September 23, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A memorial service will take place at the same venue on October 3, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm.
