Marjorie Ann Logan

Marjorie Ann Selters Logan was born in June of 1929 in the farming community of Monte Vista, Colorado. After graduating from Sargent Community Schools, she traveled to the University of Colorado in Boulder where she studied piano and elementary education. While at Boulder she met and eventually married Leland Logan after graduation. Marjorie taught elementary grades, primarily kindergarten, during her many years with Pueblo School District 60. She was involved in several organizations during her lifetime including P.E.O. Chapter DU, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Order of Eastern Star, Shrine Ladies, Ascension Church Choristers, Parkview Hospital Volunteers and Sangre de Christo Arts Center Volunteers. Marjorie loved playing piano, music of all genres, the performing arts and was a voracious reader.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Myrtle (Porter) Selters, husband Leland Logan and sister Kathleen Selters Monson. She is survived by her sister Barbara Selters Wood; daughter Lynn Logan Chavez and husband Clarence; grandchildren Connor and Catherine Chavez; nephews Bruce Monson (Kelly), Eric Monson, Brian Wood, niece Sandra Wood MacArthur (Robert) and dear family friend Gloria Maddux.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents of The Pueblo Villa, Parkview ER/Neuro Trauma ICU and Sangre de Cristo Hospice for their kindness and care, as well as Ascension Church clergy, staff and parishioners. Funeral service to be held at Ascension Episcopal Church (18th Street and Grand) in Pueblo, CO on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10 o’clock in the morning. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
