Mary C. Armenta 89, born August 11, 1924 passed away July 10, 2014. She is survived by her children, Sol (Mary) Armenta, Betty DeHerrera, John (Clara) Armenta, and son-in law Larry Cisneros: 8 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. One brother Mackie (Isabel) Arellano, and sister Annie (Alex) Valdez. Also her special friend little Gary DeHerrera. Preceded in death by husband Pete Armenta, daughter Louise Cisneros, son-in law Jimmy DeHerrera, and grandson Nickolas Armenta. Mary enjoyed raising and spoiling her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and cooked for several restaurants in town and owned La Paloma Drive-In. Mary enjoyed telling jokes and being the life of the party. You were a stranger to Mary only once. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. There will be a viewing Tuesday, July 15, from 4-6 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by a Rosary at 6 pm. Mass will be Wednesday, July 16, at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by internment at Imperial Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
