Mary was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pueblo for nearly 70 years. The church brought much joy to her. She served for 13 years with the Friday night youth group and retreats. She remained in touch with many of these youth, now adults, until her passing. She loved music and singing. The Calvary Choir was an important part of her life for nearly 40 years. She ministered as a Deaconess, preparing communion, helping with baptisms, and organizing and serving funeral dinners, among many other things. If there was a need, she would fill it. You could always count on Mary being one of the first to greet and welcome you on Sunday morning. She said that serving was her gift. She did it well for over 60 years.
Mary loved God, family, friends, and church. She lived her life with joy and will be remembered as one who made every person feel seen and heard. She loved people and she loved Jesus. Her life was lived as a testament of her devotion to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Well done my faithful servant.
