There is little that I can say about the lose of a child no matter how old they are. Getting to know Mike at the TBI group at Parkview, I found him enjoyable to chat with and listen to. Sibyl and I send our deepest thoughts to both of you.  Bless you both.

Hello Kaufman Family, we are so heart broken to heart about Michael's passing.  I have personally known Michael since elementary school and he was my first school friend.  I remember Michael spending the night.  We would sleep out in the camper and we would wake up in the morning and eat a goofy breakfast like cereal with 7UP.  I would stay at your house in Manzanola and I remember waking up an eating Honey Nut Cheerios.  Your family moved to Fowler but I was still able to spend the night at your house.  I remember Kenny being a big brother I never had and listening to Def Leopard.   Michael and I would walk over to Loaf N Jug and we would buy hot dog bubble gum and rent Nintendo games.  Later in the day we would walk to the park in Fowler and we would play football with some of his Fowler friends.  I kinda remember a Fowler friend being unhappy with me and Kenny and Michael both intervened and made sure that I was ok (I was rather small, quiet, and timid).  They protected me and made sure to care for me.  Your family made one last move to Pueblo West.  The Manzanola Bobcats wrestling team was invited to Pueblo West for a dual (to kick our butts).  Unfortunately the Bobcats won each match by pin although Pueblo's full roster and forfeits may have won them the match (I don't quite remember that piece).  Michael was there in the front row with my parents cheering me on.   Michael was a friend and in all honesty I didn't and don't have a lot of friends.  My personality is non-existent but he was always a good guy and a good friend.  Even after his accident he would still be excited to see the family at birthday parties, holidays, and would even attend Bobcat games to watch my nephews and nieces play.  I am so sorry I wasn't a better friend throughout the years.  I just saw you a few weeks prior and you looked good.  Same positive spirits and always checking in on how work is going and such.  My heart breaks for your mom, dad, and nephew.  I love you buddy!  Good-bye

I will miss the klick of the tounge he did when he was flirting with any lady's,  such a nice young man and a fun personality.   Missed by all but fondly remembered. 

To one of my favorite teachers, Mrs. Kauffman, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We got to know Mike throughout the years at the Tumbleweed Tavern where he always had a smile and a joke to share. May he be at peace❤️ “Ciao until we meet again.”

Dear Michael,

I was so happy that I was given the opportunity to  finally meet you. The few short hours we spent together with family were very heartfelt by me and created memories of you that I will forever cherish. You were and will always be a very unique person, one full of smiles and humor, one who made others feel good just being in your presence. You are so loved by so many and will forever be missed immensely. Thank you for being you Michael.

I played football with Mike in highschool and the most memorable times, on the field , was when Mike was playing linebacker. On two separate occasions I watched Mike steal hand-offs from the opposing quarterback and run them in for touchdowns. I often shared the memory with Mike and it took us both back to great times.

That and Mike always made me laugh.

He was friends with my older brothers so it was always a good laugh when he would tease them that he was going to marry me one day since he knew how protective they are of me. Mikey has been a very long time friend of mine since high school he had a heart of gold and the personality of a jokepster he help our family through a hard time when my cousin was in a terrible wreck I introduced him to her parents who he gave all the info he could to help her back on her road to a normal life and became a family friend he shared his story with so many young people as he could and was an inspiration to so many you will be so missed my friend and you will live on in all our conversations and every time I hear whatever I'll always hear that contagious laugh of your my condulances go out to your family as the navigate thru this hard time rest easy my friend till I see you again.

Mikey  was always an amazing friend .  Heart of gold . He always knew how to light up a room .  He cared so much for the people he loved .  He taught me what true friendship is .  I’ll always love and miss you !  Prayers to family and friends 

Michael - "How Rude" you left without even saying goodbye and you have broken my heart.  You were such a special person and I will always cherish the times we spent hanging out: birthday parties, 4th of July parties, pizza parties, going to the river in the middle of winter to play in the water because the temperatures reached the 50's, and so many other memories of you and your family.  I'll never forget the wonderful time we had in Italy and that we were 'battle buddies' for most of that trip.  You are now at peace and I hope that you, Kenny and Brian will not get thrown out of Heaven with all of your crazy antics.  You were a precious gift and a blessing and I'm so glad you were a part of my life.  Rest in peace and love dear Michael!

We will all miss Michael.  He was a great friend, who was always there to bring laughter and joy to everyone lives. He was an amazing person who always helped anyone one  he came into contact with.  
Michael  was always there to make me laugh and have a great time no matter what we did. He never turned his back on a friend .  I will miss him so much,  but I know he is in heaven with Kenny  watching over all of us. God has another Amazing Angel.
