

Mick is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Carol, his children;Donna (Scott), Denise (Paul), Mike (Terri), Matt (Erin), Mark (Danielle) and Marty, step-children;Jason and Megan, 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, his sister; Wilma, as well as numerous other relatives, friends, and the mother of his children, Irene Head.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Estellene Head and brother-in- law James Fulks.
Mick was born in Pueblo, Colorado on April 6, 1941, and lived in many small towns in Colorado throughout his life including Cortez, Manzanola, Keenesburg, Dove Creek, Salida, and most recently Olney Springs.
He attended Pueblo Junior College and graduated with his BA in Business Administration from Adams State College in 1965. While attending college, he learned Morse Code and worked for the railroad. After graduation, he was a teacher at Leduc High School in Alberta, Canada, taught American and Colorado history in Weld County schools, and taught at the business college in Pueblo.
Mick loved learning and teaching about the Gospel, spending time with his family, western movies and books, country music, fishing, going to garage sales, never losing in a game of chess, tending to his garden, and Taco Bell.
A graveside burial ceremony will be held at Imperial Memorial Gardens, The Garden of 'Last Supper' on August 11, 2023 at 3 pm. Reception to follow. Online condolences at www.imperialfunerals.com
