Grandma I know you are happier and in a better place with grandpa and uncle Bobby, my mom and all those who have been waiting for you.  It is not so easy for those of us left behind we love and miss you and will look foreword to the day we will be reunited I love You Grandma!!!!!

I always knew someday I would have to say goodbye, I just never realized how hard that would be. 
From the very first time you held me, you said "she's My Girl" and for the past 40 years you always made sure I and everyone else knew that I was "Your Special Girl."
I didn't have the opportunity to grow up living by you, but it seems my cousins and I have some of the same memories.  I remember the drawer that was just for us kids to play in and to this day I have a similar drawer for all the little ones and they know it's their "special drawer." I remember looking forward to your smiley face pancakes when we visited you. And one of my most cherished childhood memories was when Dad and I flew to California and you took us to disneyland and knotts berry farm. You made sure I went on every ride I wanted to and you were beside me throughout it all. And I always remember you humming and through the years I will catch myself humming and I'll stop and smile to myself and think of you.
For a lot of years I took my family for granted, like I'm sure most young people do. But I was so blessed to have had a close relationship with you over the last few years. Every week I looked forward to your phone call and now, I really miss talking to you even when all we had to say about our week was the "same ol sixes and sevens."

I am honored to have had you for a Grandmother. 
You will forever be in my heart.

Our dear Sister Ruth was a joy to all that knew her.  She came into our lives some 30 years ago through an act of unselfishness and kindness to care for one of our ailing sisters. Over the years we have grown to love her as a "Grandmother" as many would call her. Her unwavering faith and love for 96 years is a testimony to us all.  “The gray head is a crown of glory if it be found in the way of Righteousness. Proverbs 16; 31.  Thank you Sister Ruth we will never forget you.
“Precious in the eyes of the Lord is the death of one of his saints” Psalms 116:15. 
We shall see you again someday.

Grandma you were an inspiration to me always with a smile on your face and love in your heart for everyone.  There is a void left in our lives you were the matriarch of our family I will miss you and look foreword to seeing you in heaven  Love you always

Dear Grandma,

We are thankful for the time we shared and the great memories we will have to carry us through this life.  Today, I find myself reflecting back as a little boy coming over to see you in the house on main street in Florence.  It makes me smile when I think about all the fond memories we shared together.  The special drawer "the third drawer" filled with empty spools of thread, toys, and little items that we used to entertain ourselves for hours.  I remember stacking those empty spools of thread and playing on the back porch for hours, using those spools like bowling pins.  I reflect back on playing outside in the irrigations ditch with my cousins when we all came to grandma's house to play.  The times, when as children we did not feel well and laid on the floral colored couch where you always made us feel better and tell us it would be ok.  When we were feeling better it was waffles or smiley face pancakes for breakfast.  I remember the times when you would take us to church in Penrose and taught us about the lord Jesus Christ.  Those early Sunday morning where we sang hymnal's before the kids went off to Sunday school.  During this time of the year I recall the silver Christmas tree you always placed in your living room corner.

When you moved to California those trips to Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm.  Remembering a time at Knotts Berry Farm when none of the adults would ride Montezuma's Revenge.  The roller-coaster that sent you speeding down the track and through and big giant loop and then back to the starting gate.  When no other adults rode the ride grandma made sure to go so that her grandchildren had the opportunity to ride.  Getting off that high speed roller-coaster and saying let's do it again grandma.

When as a young man I moved to California I remember staying with you at your apartment until I was able to get a place of my own in Hollywood.  Coming home from a long day at work and you always had dinner ready that night and a sack lunch for me to take the work the following day.  There are so many memories that I will carry with me forever.  You are loved in ways that words cannot express and know you will always have a big place in my heart.  Until we meet again..

Gary and I were so blessed to have Aunt Ruthie in our lives. She was an amazing and loving woman. Her love for family and friends was such a blessing to all of us. She was such a part of my mom's life and cared for her the last few years in the nursing home. I knew that when I couldn't be there, she would call and visit and show her love to mom. We will miss her very much. Her faith and love for God was an amazing witness to all of us. We pray for your peace and comfort at this time. Barbara and Gary Richards

Thinking of your family during this time of loss. Always hard to let a Mother go but be grateful you got to have her in you life for so long. I am so glad we made the effort to go see her last March when she was doing so well!

Grandma we will miss you.We that are left behind will greive but we are comforted knowing you are now with our Lord Jesus. Someday soon I will join you when God allows.We know you will be watching over all of us! I love you and feel blessed that part of my heart is with you in heaven.

We were so blessed to have Ruthie as a part of our lives.  We were fortunate to live close to her and could walk over and just chat for a while.  Her faith and desire to serve God all her days was a great example and it was our privelege to get to share a portion of her life.  We will miss you dear sister...but we will keep singing praises to God.

my prayers go out to you and everyone in Aunt Ruth's family. We were blessed to have her in our life.I' I won't be able to make the funeral but know you are in my prayers.

I would like to add a special tribute to my dear Sister in Christ and friend Ruth Donely. She has been a special part of my life for over 30 years.  She came to CA in the early 1980s to care for my invalid Aunt Lucille. She continued to spend many years here in CA with her two sisters, Gladys and Florence after my Aunt moved to Idaho to finish her days in the care of her family. Ruth moved to Long Beach CA to be with her dear sisters, Gladys and Florence for nearly two decades after my aunt moved away. She eventually moved in with me, after both her sisters went to be with the Lord. She had just turned 90 when she retired from her job helping the Molatore's manage their 14 unit apartment complex where she had lived for many years. We shared my home in CA for over six years after that time, until her health began failing the end of October 2013.  Her dear children came to her side. They were finally able to convince her to come back home to her family and roots in her home town in CO. She was able by God's grace to fulfill her desire of living a long and fruitful life in serving Christ. When the Lord saw fit, her desire to be with her family was also fulfilled, as she was able to return home to be with her dear children before the Lord took her home to her final resting place in Christ. Christ was her first love after the untimely passing of her dear husband. Her children were always her pride and joy in all she did outside the realm of her abiding faith. I'm thankful she was a part of my life. She was a true example to me of the sweet story of Ruth in the Bible.  She followed the call of where she needed to go and where she needed to abide to honor her service to Christ before all others near and dear to her heart.  May God bless her beloved family and all those who were instrumental in fulfilling the path she chose to walk in to gain her crown of life by the miraculous work of Christ in her heart.
