Odelia Lura Trujillo

Odelia L Trujillo, 95, of Pueblo, went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, Portfilio and Santanna Castro; brothers Anthony Castro, Andrew Castro and baby Johnny Castro; sisters Bernice Mondragon and Patricia Gallegos; son Morris Trujillo, former spouse and father of her children, Gilbert Trujillo. Odelia is survived by her son Joseph Emery (Beverly) Trujillo, daughter Gilberta (Rod) Montoya; grandchildren, Melissa (Randy) Sandoval, Valerie (Jason) Duran, Amy Trujillo and Melvin Trujillo; great grandchildren, Tre, Rodny, Izaya, Aurora, Steven, Rayanna, Charlie and numerous nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to thank the following staff at Sangre de Cristo Hospice Community Care, Life Care Center of Pueblo and Interim HealthCare of Pueblo. A special thank you to caregivers; Mary, Pearl, Ales, Pauline and Mandy for their excellent home care. Mary Garvin remained a very special friend to Odelia throughout the years. Odelia would always enjoy their visits and conversations over her two most favorite things, coffee and pie!

Odelia was born in Gardner, Colorado and was the eldest of 5 siblings. She was the last of her immediate family to pass. She had a close bond with her siblings that remained strong throughout the years. She is now reunited with them all in heaven. What a joyous reunion that took place the day she entered heaven.

Odelia was a devoted member of St. Francis Xavier Church. Odelia will be remembered for her deep dedication to her faith. When she was no longer able to attend mass, she found comfort in watching mass on EWTN.

Odelia will be greatly missed by her family and friends. May she rest in peace in the arms of God and may perpetual light shine upon her.

A visitation will be held at: St. Francis Xavier Church, located at 611 Logan Ave, Pueblo Colorado, on December 3, 2025, at 10:00am, followed by a Rosary at 10:30am and Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Gravesite services will take place at Imperial Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, located at 5450 CO-78, Pueblo, Colorado, 81005, from 12:00pm to 12:15pm on December 3, 2025.
