Pat Richardson departed this life July 19, 2015, with her loving and devoted husband, Lee, by her side and surrounded by the loving family she had devoted her entire life to nurturing and caring for: children, Jim (Kathy), Randy (Renee), Dee DeYoung (Rich); grandchildren, Chris Richardson, Bree Ghini (Guy). Dustin Richardson (Elisha), Samantha Richardson and Rebecca Diaz (Jared). Pat also was a great grandmother and took great pleasure in spending time with her two great grandchildren, Lucca Dean Richardson and Eddy Lynn Richardson. She was affectionately known as Grandma Pat to special grandkids Ciaran Atwood and Blaze Pettit and was always happy to share in their lives. Pat was born July 13, 1941 in Endicott, NY and is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Lena Hinkley, In-Laws, James and Betty Richardson, brother, Howard Hinkley and brother-in-law, Mike Krohn. Survived by sisters, Sylvia Presley (Don), Jean Johnson (Dave) and Diane Krohn, brothers, Richard Hinkley, John Hinkley and numerous nieces and nephews. Pat and Lee were married July 15, 1957 in Pat’s hometown of Pensacola Florida while Lee was stationed there in the Navy. After the Navy, they moved to Lee’s hometown of Pueblo where they built and spent the majority of their lives. Pat made her career as an assistant store manager at the Sears store in Pueblo for 19 years. After retiring from Sears, she was employed part time at the Pueblo Target store. In addition to spending time with family, Pat and Lee enjoyed traveling. They especially enjoyed celebrating their 50th anniversary with a trip to Hawaii and a few years later a whale watching cruise to Alaska. Over the years, they took numerous vacations to Florida to spend time with family and friends and shared many special trips with sister, Sylvia and brother-in-law, Don. Pat courageously battled cancer for two years and spent her last days being comforted by the professional staff at the Sangre de Cristo Hospice. Pat’s family would like to thank them and all the doctors, nurses, technicians and staff of the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center and Parkview Hospital for their attentive care in her time of need. In lieu of food and flowers, one of Pat’s last requests was for donations be made in her name to the Pueblo Child Advocacy Center or any charitable organization that caters to the well-being of children. The family would also like to encourage donations to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice in her name. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. (Note change of time for service) at Imperial Funeral Home Chapel.
