

Raymond worked at the Belfast Canning Company where they packed sardines before he joined the Army in 1964 and served two tours in Vietnam. After his discharge in 1970, loving the mountain views Raymond decided to make Colorado his home. It was in Golden, Colorado where he met the love of his life, Carol Baca. They married on February 9th,1974 and had seven children. The eventually settled in Pueblo West where their home was built.
Raymond loved telling stories about growing up in Maine and the ruckus they caused and he always had a joke or two lined up. He loved to go fishing and later in life developed a true love for woodturning, making cutting boards for family and friends, and using his scroll saw to make unique layered crafts. Most days you could find him sitting in his shop next to the fire wearing his leather apron and smoking his pipe or searching Youtube for unique woodturning and scroll saw ideas.
Raymond was survived by his wife, Carol ( Baca), who passed an eleven short days later, 7 children; Matthew Harvey, Daniel Harvey, Andrea Harvey, Renae (Doug) Luttmer, Nathan Harvey, Kathryn (John) Morison and David Harvey, 10 grandchildren; Gannon (Katherine) Harvey, Tarra Harvey, Nicole Harvey, Christopher Som, Cody Luttmer, Nicholas Luttmer, Phoebe Aldred , Shannun Harvey, Alliyah Harvey and Caden Harvey, 8 Great Grandchildren; Rowan Harvey, Orion Harvey, Addison Mossberger, Evelyn Mossberger, Oliver Harvey, Levian Dolve, Ryder Booth, and Ryker Scott, and numerous nieces and nephews in Maine. He is also survived by his close friends, of which they've been meeting once a month for over 25 years, John and Marta Sandoval, Marlene Walmer, and their newest member Johnny Gonzales.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 6 siblings; Reggie, Clara, Ralph Jr, Vera, Merwin and Milford, 2 children from his first marriage; Eddie and Brandon, and 1 grandchild; Carrissa.
A Celebration of Life for both Raymond and Carol will be held on Monday, June 9th, 2025 at Imperial Memorial Gardens Funeral home, 5450 Hwy 78 West, Pueblo, Colorado 81005 with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to Andrea Harvey.
