Obituario de Rebecca Ann Kennard
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Imperial Memorial Gardens Funeral, Cremation & Cemetery

Rebecca Ann Conley Kennard was born November 10, 1950 in Alamosa, Colorado, the first child of Betty and Elvin Conley. She grew up in Pueblo Colorado with a sister - Mabel, and four brothers - Richard, Charles, Elvin Junior, and David. She married Ken Kennard in December, 1970 and gave birth to a son, Joshua, in June 1980. Becky graduated from Pueblo East High School and Southern Colorado State College with a BS in English.

Becky’s passions were for God, family, healing, and the arts. She became interested in theater during high school. She spent many years as a costumer and director – helping other people look good. In addition to doing opera and college productions, she spent many years directing church productions, spreading the gospel in a visual and musical way. Her work career had a similar focus of helping others be the best that they could be. She worked for the March of Dimes helping to raise awareness and funds for the management of birth defects.

But her long term passion was to help people with learning struggles. She developed a program to help people with dyslexia, ADD, ADHD and brain injuries get to a much more productive life through structured physical exercise called Brain Integration Therapy. As she gained a reputation as the “Brain Lady", she also trained others in these techniques. Becky’s spiritual life centered on prayer. She felt called to provide spiritual support for those leading the spread of the gospel. She prayed for pastors; she prayed for congregations and she prayed for cities. Her goal was to break through the spiritual bondage in communities allowing the release of revival and spiritual awakening.

Many testify that they moved from strife and struggle to freedom and celebration through Becky’s guidance and leading. We will miss her, but her gifts continue to make our world a brighter, better place.
