

Robert E. James passed on the 13th day of December 2014. Muriel J. James passed on the 18th day of January 2014. Robert and Muriel were graduates of Central High School. Muriel worked as a secretary for Southern Colorado Power Company for many years. Later in life she worked as a church Secretary at Bruner Park Evangelical Church and later for Faith United Methodist Church. Loving Mother of Robert and Douglas James, she centered her life around her family.
Robert E. James after high school graduation, enlisted in the US Army where he was a Sergeant through World War II. At the end of his tour of duty he hired on at the United States Post Office where he worked his entire career holding the title of Head of Maintenance and later as clerk and mail handler. Robert was President of the Board of the Postal Credit Union at one time and a member of the YMCA organization. He was a life member of the Scottish Rite Masons. Robert was a dedicated member of the church as a board member and Sunday school teacher. Throughout his life Robert helped as many people as he could fit in a day.
Robert and Muriel centered their lives around their children and extended family. Son, Robert, and his two sons, Keith Edward James and Steven Michael James, both of Pueblo West, were an integral part of their lives as were son, Douglas, and his wife, Debra, and their daughter, Kendra and son, Chris. There were numerous great-grandchildren as well.
The entire James family and friends will miss Robert and Muriel and will always be a part of our lives in spirit.
Muriel and Robert will rest in the San Isabel mountains. Due to the logistics and wishes of Robert and Muriel the service will be immediate family only. Due to family allergy no flowers please.
