

Robert (Bob) Solano, 69, passed away on April 5, 2017 in Sun City West, AZ. Bobby Lee was born October 8, 1947 in Standardville, Utah to Lee and Mollie Solano. He was an Altar Server at Holy Family for many years where his mom was secretary for 30 years. He graduated from South High School in 1965 after graduation he was drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam. Upon his discharged he went to college at SCSC in Pueblo to become an accountant. He married his best friend Mary Frances Vigil. His hobby was photography. He was a perfectionist and every picture had to be perfect. He took beautiful pictures everywhere he and Mary went hiking. His favorite places to hike were in Alaska, Canada, Yellowstone, Glazier Nation Park, Grand Tetons and Colorado. He also liked to spend time hiking in the desert. His last hike was at the Grand Canyon in October. When they weren’t hiking he loved to watch sports, especially the New York Yankees and the Boston Celtics.
A celebration of his life will be held in Pueblo on April 21st at Holy Family Catholic Church at 11:00 am followed by a Military Burial Service at Imperial Memorial Gardens.
Preceded in death by his father, Lee Solano. Survived by the love of his life, Mary Solano (wife), mother Mollie, his brothers Nathan and Dennis (Becky), his sister Marcia (Paul) Stech, his Godfather/ Uncle Joe and his Godson Brian Quintana. He had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer Society Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in Bob’s name.
