Sammie Jean Cody, 81, of Pueblo, CO, went to be with her Lord September 28, 2014, at her home with her family by her side. She lived her life through pure love and faith. She loved the Lord, and lived in His Word every day. Sammie never met a stranger; and when you would depart from her, she would say, ”have a great day and a better tomorrow;” and she meant it. Everyone she met she would a plant a seed; and, as for our family, we are seeing her harvest and how much it has grown. Sammie entertained with the Tim McCarthy Show, and brought joy to many including our troops. She sang, did comedian acts and brought laughter to many. She was a homemaker and foot reflexologist. She graduated from Central High School, and was a certified reflexologist. Sammie was also involved with the New Comers Group of Pueblo. She married Robert G. Cody on Dec. 1, 1953; and the journey began. She is survived by her husband, Robert G. Cody; her 5 children, Tom (Debbie) Cody, Jim (Rhonda) Cody, Ron (Coleen) Cody, Randy (Paula) Cody and Robin Cody and her fiancé, Charlie Corsentino; 17 grandchildren, Valarie Cody, Rebecca Cody, Sarah Cody, Dallas (Lauren) Cody, Josh (Susan) Cody, Ryan Cody, Brittany Cody, Jordon (Kim) Cody, Elliott Cody, Gem Cody (fiancé, Dave Jeminez), Chregan Cody, Madison Cody, Jimmy Musso, Joey Musso, Jessica Musso; future grandchildren, Jessica Corsentino, Derick Corsentino; 12 great-grandchildren, Dylan Horvat, Cody Horvat, Avia Cody, Cam Norbakhsh, Ash Norbakhsh, Adan Cody, Vera Cody, Gavin Cody, Nolan Cody, Prior Jeminez, Nyxs Jeminez, Taytum Berry. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, the Lowden family, the Wiggins family, the Paige family and the Felice family. We have lost a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend; but we have gained so much more in the legacy she has left behind, her Faith and Love in our Lord Jesus Christ. We only hope that we may live through Him as she did. We are blessed to have a Guardian Angel watching over us all. Memorial Services will be 11 a.m., Monday, October 6, 2014, at Praise Assembly, 2000 Troy Avenue. Online condolences at www.tgmccarthy.com. Arrangements by T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home.
