Hi there family and friends. The Blessed Mother called this morning and asked if I was ready to go. I said “yes”. The Lord then said “Come follow me, your family is waiting.” My beautiful family was there. My Sweetheart James Hand, my Mom and Dad, Albert and Florence Vigil, my sisters Frances Adams, Evelyn Ferreira, Evangeline Valerio, Dora Hughes, Claudette McHenry, Mary Louise Mack and my brother Albert Vigil, my grandson Eric Riddock and numerous nieces and nephews. Don’t cry because I am gone. Be happy and rejoice with me, for you see I have lived a wonderful life. I was born in Gardner Colorado on August 4, 1924, was honored with the Salutatorian title of my graduating class, went on to help the War effort by working at Aircraft Mechanics in Colorado Springs, meeting and befriending the Rockerfellers while living there, dating an upcoming popular singer, riding to the top of Pikes Peak on a Harley Davidson, was a model with a portfolio for a while and working at Triplex and American Stores. I then started my own day care center. I loved taking care of children. Speaking of children I leave behind my loving daughter Florence Riddock and step daughter Darlene Martinez and my beloved sons Wayne Hand and Ronnie Hand. My sisters Adeline Valdez and Mary Zawalski will continue the family in my absence. I also leave behind my grandchildren numbering 15 and great grandchildren numbering 27 and many nieces and nephews to many to count. Pay your respect to me by sending prayers and love, for this is all I ever asked for when I was here and that is all I need now. Goodbye to all of you, my loved ones. Visitation, 5-7 pm, Wednesday, September 19, 2012 followed by a Rosary at 7 pm, both at Imperial Gardens Funeral Home on Highway 78. The mass of Resurrection will be held at 2 pm at Christ the King Church. Online condolences, www.imperialfunerals.com.
