Steve Alcala, 76, passed away March 11, 2023 in Pueblo, Colorado. He was the husband of Anita Alcala; they shared 55 years of marriage together. Born in Longmont, Colorado, he was the son of Oscar and Josie Alcala, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his brother Clarence Alcala. Steve worked at the Union Pacific Railroad as a conductor for 35 years. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, serving in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed his grandkids, working on cars, yard work, and his John Wayne movies. He will be remembered for always taking care of his family. Steve is survived by his wife Anita; children Steven (Ruby) Alcala, Jeffery Alcala, Aaron (Emma) Alcala, and Melissa (Damon) Sanchez; grandchildren Steven Jr., Dante, Dario, Leah, Maddox, Ariel, Gabriella, Alani, and Samantha; sister Madeline (Frank) Aragon; brother Marty (Laura) Alcala; several nephews and his niece. Viewing Wednesday, March 22, 9am at St. Francis Xavier Church, followed by rosary at 9:30 am and Mass at 10am. Entombment at Imperial Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
