He was born to Catherine and James Laughlin on December 3, 1937 in Pueblo, CO. After graduating from high school, Tommy joined the Navy Reserves. He and his high school sweetheart Norma Carol McDaniel were married on January 16, 1959. Together they welcomed two sons, Thomas Earl Laughlin Jr. and James Willis Laughlin. He spent over 30 years working for Mountain Bell and AT&T.
Tom enjoyed spending time on his ranch taking care of his cattle, fishing at Blue Mesa, elk hunting, and playing the occasional round of golf. In his later years, after Carol’s passing, he and Helen Wright spent over a decade going to dances, boating, and enjoying each other’s company. His granddaughters, Amanda Weidner and Natalie Underbrink will remember him as a cheerful influence who always had a twinkle in his blue eyes. In addition to Thomas Jr., Amanda, and Natalie he also leaves behind 3 great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all.
Tommy will be honored in a Memorial service in the summer. Online condolences, www.imperialfunerals.com
