William (Bill) graduated from Central High School in Pueblo, having participated in the school ROTC program, preparing him for seven years of service in the Army Reserve Program.
While doing military service, Bill married Allison Austin and started a family with three children, Michael, Richard, and Diana. Bill began his 38-year-long career as a combustion engineer at the Colorado Fuel and Iron Corporation (CF&I). He later worked for the Sangre De Cristo Arts and Conference Center.
Bill was preceded in death by both his parents, brother, Merritt Hadley, stepfather, Edwin Anderson, stepsister, Dorothy Carlson, and stepson, Jake Trujillo
Bill married several times, finally getting it right on his sixth try, marrying Jean Lisa Roldan Hadley in 2000.
Bill is survived by his wife, Jean, his three children, Michael (Robyn) Hadley of
Colorado Springs, Richard (Deb) Hadley, of Florence, Diana (Phil) Quattlebaum, also of Florence, and stepson, Dennis Trujillo, who was instrumental in helping his mother take care of Bill during his final years of life.
Bill is survived by eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A private family service was held.
