

Willie Edward (Ed) Greenarch, 88, passed away at home May 22, 2017. He was born July 11, 1928 in Jackson County, Tennessee. Ed is survived by Dorothy I. (Jeane) Gregory Greenarch, his wife of 70 years; his three daughters Doris Combs (David), Debra Martinez (Robert), and Patricia Brown (Allen); five grandchildren: Kerrie Culp (Robert), Kellie Coates, Klint Combs (Chandra), Katie Brown (Neil Flock), and Tyler Brown (Melody); and nine great-grandchildren: Britney Coates; Julia, Mariel and Leila Culp; Savannah, Chase and Corbin Combs; and Liam and Owen Brown. He was class president and valedictorian at White House High School, Tennessee in 1946. Ed worked at the Pueblo Army Depot for 34 years. He was a missile guidance systems expert and served as foreman of the ultra clean room. During his career he received numerous outstanding performance citations and traveled throughout Europe and Korea installing gyroscopes in missiles for NATO. Ed was mechanically inclined. He took pride in being able to fix most anything. Ed liked taking road trips all over the United States and Canada. He visited all 50 states. An avid outdoorsman, he particularly enjoyed extended vacations with his wife to British Columbia, Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and Alaska. During their travels they traversed every paved road and most dirt roads in Alaska. Favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, and backpacking. His funeral will be June 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Imperial Funeral Home with viewing prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. Ed was a long time member of Park Hill Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Park Hill Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Kerrie Culp, Kellie Coates, Klint Combs, Katie and Tyler Brown, David Combs, Robert Martinez, and Allen Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Sorenson, Bud Swartz, Hank Saldana, George Kakalecik, Rusty Monett, and Ross Beatty.
