Billy Joe Garner

Billy Joe was born July 24, 1942 in Giles County to Willis Herman and Mary Eliza Newton Garner. He was retired from Walker Die Casting, a member of Bunker Hill Church of God, loved nature, being outside, farming, taking care of animals but his favorite pass time was sitting on the porch watching his community and making sure everyone was taken care of. Billy Joe was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Molly Garner, his wife of 52 yrs. Janice Garner, son Ronald Joe Garner, and sister Marie Hutton.

Visitation will be 1-3pm Sunday September 22, 2024 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with time for remembering at 2:30. Graveside services will be 2pm on Sunday October 13, 2024 at Wright Cemetery.

Survivors include sons William Garner (Sherry) of Pulaski, Gary Garner (Brandy) of Chapel Hill, daughter Jeanette Thorpe ( Tim) of Fayetteville, sister Jean Davis-Banks (Gary) of Lawrenceburg, grandchildren Colton Garner (Miranda), Brandi Stewart, Trey Thorpe(Jessica), Remy Garner, great grandchildren Dayton, Rylan, Justyce, Piper, Jaelyn, Sutton, Onita Belle, Bohanan, special friends Larry Brown, Mickey and Jason Doggett, Gerald Young, numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives, friends.
