He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Giles Memory Garden.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Jean Morgan McCormack of Lewisburg; one son: Chuck McCormack and wife Jane of Pulaski; two daughters: Sallie Williams and husband James Ervin of Linden and Sue Ann Fox and husband Lyndell of Columbia; two sisters: Dorothy Robison of Indiana and Velma Campbell of West Virginia; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren
