He was born in Pulaski, TN on April 17, 1949, a retired mechanic, and his parents were the late Bennon Foster (Vaudy) and Mable Irene Mankins Shelton.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 4, 2016, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2016, at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with burial to follow in Giles Memory Gardens.
Survivors are: wife, Shirley Tosh Shelton of Pulaski, TN, sons, Joe Shelton and wife Gail of Goodspring, TN, Chancy Shelton and Kacey Shelton both of Pulaski, TN, daughter, Tammie Shelton of Pulaski, TN, sister, Trisha Shelton of Hohenwald,, TN, 15 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
