He was born in Scotts Hill, TN, on April 20, 1938 and retired from Denbo/TVR. He was preceded in death by his parents, General David and Ada Viola Margaret Eliza Ann Howell Smith, his wife, Lurlie Harris Smith, his brothers, David, Daniel Denzil and Earl Ray Smith, his sisters, Ella Mae, Lutie, Sue, Faye and Oma.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at 11:00 AM. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow in Old Shores Cemetery.
Survivors include his son, Marty Smith, Pulaski, his daughters, Teresa Crabtree (Mark), Minor Hill, Tina Renee Thornton (Gary), Pulaski, his brothers, Hobert Smith (Elizabeth), Revilo, Morris Smith (Carolyn), Goodspring, Charles Smith (Linda), Revilo, Gary Smith (Linda), Revilo, his sister, Betty Tucker (Lindon), Pulaski, his grandchildren, Brent Matthews, Jake Thornton, Jessica Thissen, Jessica Crabtree and Jennifer Spurlin, and 10 great grandchildren.
