Mrs. Scruggs was the daughter of the late Erskin and Estella Akin Hargrove. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband J. D. Scruggs, two sisters and eight brothers.
Visitation will be Monday January 17, 2011 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday January 18, 2011 at Carr & Erwin Chapel with interment in Swanson Cemetery at 3:15 p.m..
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Clover Bottom Development Center 275 Stewarts Ferry Pike, Nashville, Tennessee 37214.
Survivors include her son Johnny Ray Scruggs of Nashville, brother Ernest Hargrove of Lewisburg, sister Myrl Burrow of Pulaski.
