She was born in Dellrose, TN on December 15, 1938, retired nurses aid, her parents were the late Charles William and Ida Aline Maddox Mitchell. Preceded in death by daughter, Terri Defoe, sister, Sarah Medley and husband Howard McKie.
Memorials may be made to the Wheelerton Baptist Church or Shiloh Methodist Church.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 4PM to8PM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2012, at 2PM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home, with burial in Shiloh Cemetery in Lincoln County, TN.
Survivors are: sons, Joe Ray Defoe and David Defoe both of Florida, daughters, Pam Defoe, Sandra Lancaster, Tracy Fissher-Tulloch, Renee Kimble all of Florida, Sharon Defoe of Texas, brothers, Jerry Mitchell of Tecumseh, Michigan, Perry Mitchell of Florida, sisters, Deborah Thompson of Pulaski, TN, June Caldwell of Cornersville, TN, 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
