

Mary carried herself with a quiet grace that spoke louder than words, whether she was cooking, babysitting, fishing, crocheting, playing card games, spending time with her family, or singing gospel music. However, worshipping God was her greatest joy, and that joy was evident in the life she lived. Mary is preceded in death by her mother Helen Barnett Griggs; father Johnny Griggs; brother Mickey Darrell Griggs; granddaughter Rebecca Lynn Jones; mother and father-in-law Billy C and Ellene Deane Jones; grandparents Jessie and Jurann Barnett, Rev. Pink and Mary “Maggie” Griggs. Also preceded in death by honorary mother Judy Andrews; honorary sister Angel Andrews.
Visitation will be held from 4-8pm on Sunday March 29, 2026 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 10am on Monday March 30, 2026 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Interment will be in New Zion Cemetery.

Mary is survived by her husband Donnie Jones; 3 sons Corey Jones, Brandon Long, Andrew Jones (Trista) all of Pulaski; honorary sons Nathan Hale of AK, and Jordan Hale of MN; honorary daughter Daphne Long of Pulaski; 5 granddaughters Indiana, Shelby, Madison Jones, and Lilli Long all of Pulaski, Abby Jones of Murfreesboro, TN; grandson Hank Alsup Gresham of Knoxville; 3 sisters Sandy Jones (Kenneth) of Pulaski, Tammy Cox of Lewisburg, Jessica Jenkins (Ronnie) of Murfreesboro; 1 brother Matthew Griggs (Gerika) of Lebanon, TN; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
