Mr. Holt was the son of the late Leonadus Houston Rivers and Nellie Francis Southerland Holt. He was also preceded in death by one brother Bennie Rivers Holt and one sister Pamela Carol Glover.
Visitation will be Monday August 23, 2010 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday August 24, 2010 at Carr & Erwin Chapel with interment in New Zion Cemetery.
Survivors include his son Brandon Dale Holt, daughter Melanie Mayo and husband Andy, brothers Leon Holt and wife Patty, Gail Holt and wife Kathy, Tommy Holt and wife Judy, Jerry Holt, Tony Holt, sisters Kathy Bowles, Ann Storey and husband Jim, Bonnie Malone and husband David Allen, three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
