He was born in Limestone County, AL on 10-25-1949, retired from GM, served in the US Marines during the Vietnam War, his parents were the late Grady B. and Rozia Pearl Townsend Russell.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6PM to 9PM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 3-10-2011, at 1:00PM, with burial in Hester Cemetery.
Survivors are: sons, Joey Russell and wife Ashley of Elkmont, AL, Andrew Russell MacKenzie and wife Tori of Athens, AL, brothers, Johnny Russell and wife Ann, Randall Russell and wife Peggy all of Minor Hill, TN, James Russell and wife Sue of Goodspring, TN, sisters, Linda Davis and Gladys Turner and husband Steve all of Elkmont, AL, 4 grandchildren.
