Mr. Cox was a 1950 graduate of Giles County High School, a U.S Navy veteran of six campaigns in the Korean War, a 1958 graduate of middle Tennessee State University, and a Christian baptized March 31, 1960. Mr. Cox had employments with Murray Ohio of Lawrenceburg, TN, Giles County’s Education Department, Sheriff’s Department, The American Consulate in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and Country Square Apartments of Manchester, TN.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Tyree Louis and Ada Jett Bowen of Giles County, Egbert Cullen and Velma Haley Cox of Pulaski, TN; parents Walter S. Sr. and Louise Bowen Cox of Pulaski, TN; brother Tyree Egbert Cox.
Graveside service will be held at 10:30am Monday February 5, 2024 at Maplewood Cemetery with interment to follow.
